The Transport Canada Advanced Certificate
Upon completing our Advanced course and flight review, you will be a licensed commercial drone pilot with clearance to fly in controlled airspace.
This is the same airspace used by airlines and private pilots. Transport Canada wants us to know where commercial pilots operate so you can share the same airspace when operating your drone.
Our Advanced Drone course is divided into eight sections, following the Transport Canada curriculum called the TP15263.
We cover the following topics with Videos and PDFs: Air Law, Drone engines and airframes, Human factors, Meteorology, Navigation in controlled airspace, Flight operations, and a free elective: the Radio Operator's license to monitor the airspace you are operating in.
Transport Canada states that the course should be completed after 30 hours of study on our/their material. Our course has no time limit, and our training portal is open 24/7, so you can study at your own pace.
